Thanks for visiting the Penley Pearls at PenleyPearls.com. My fascinations include my family and American History, so Penley and Horne genealogy is an inescapable and natural result, never to be confused with addiction or obsession. I only stalk ancestors in my spare time, my day job is teaching American History at the local high school. Go War Eagles!
I am blessed by two incredible kids, a delightful Mom, three lovely sisters, and a full CAVALRY of cousins, aunts and uncles still living in East Tennessee, but we lost Dad in 2001.
We left Tennessee nearly 50 years ago, but Mom and Dad made sure we didn't lose our family, just the mountains. Maybe our ties are stronger because we were alone down here, and our family visits back home were more special because we didn't see our cousins every day. We ended up with sand in our shoes, so today we remain in windy Florida, though we still treasure the mountains and our family back home.
